ARCHDIOCESAN BOY CHOIR TO SING FOR POPE JOHN PAUL II

The Archdiocesan Boy Choir will be in Italy for a nine day pilgrimage in preparation for the New Millennium. The Pilgrimage will include a special performance at the Vatican for His Holiness, Pope John Paul II on June 23, 1999. There will be a media availability prior to the Choir's departure.

The Archdiocesan Boy Choir was founded in 1969. The Choir is made up of eighty boys, ages seven through sixteen, from over fifty parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The Choir has produced two recordings, Songs of the Cherubim and Christmas Midnight Mass. The Choir is under the direction of Thomas Windfelder..
