Father Filippello attended Ellwood Elementary School, Holy Angels School and Cardinal Dougherty High School, all in Philadelphia, before entering St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood.

The homilist is Augustinian Father Augustine Esposito. The deacon is Rev. Mr. John Bean. Concelebrants will include priest friends.

There are ten men in the Class of 2000. At the end of May, each of the newly ordained priests will be assigned to a parish in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia where they will serve as parochial vicars. A parochial vicar is a priest appointed by the Cardinal to assist the pastor of a parish.
