Father Rogers attended St. Jerome School, Philadelphia, St. Hilary of Poitiers School, Rydal and Bishop McDevitt High School in Wyncote before entering St. Charles Borromeo Seminary.

The concelebrants are Reverend Monsignor Michael Carroll, Reverend James McCabe, Reverend James Bajorek and Reverend John Glynn. The homilist is Reverend Curtis Clark and the deacons are Rev. Mr. Andrew Brownholtz and Rev. Mr. Andrew Gehringer.
There are ten men in the Class of 2000. At the end of May, each of the newly ordained priests will be assigned to a parish in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia where they will serve as parochial vicars. A parochial vicar is a priest appointed by the Cardinal to assist the pastor of a parish.
