Philadelphia Teens Embark for Native American Experience
Twelve high school students from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will embark on a twelve day service program to Saint Michael Mission School in Arizona on
Philadelphia International Airport
6:00 a.m. - Group will meet at
America West Terminal
7:30 a.m. - Flight to Phoenix
The program is sponsored by the Archdiocesan Office for Youth and Young Adults and includes components of service, spirituality, and cultural awareness. The volunteer group of two boys and ten girls will be teaching Bible School to more than 100 Navajo children. Saint Michael's Mission School was founded by Philadelphia's Saint Katharine Drexel and is staffed by members of her religious order, the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament.
