CARDINAL BEVILACQUA TO DEDICATE NEW CHURCH AT BUCKS COUNTY PARISH

Anthony Cardinal Bevilacqua, Archbishop of Philadelphia, will dedicate a new church at St. Martin of Tours Parish in New Hope, Bucks County.

Rev. John P. Schmeer, Pastor of St. Martin of Tours Parish, will concelebrate the mass. St. Martin of Tours Parish was founded in 1885. The new church is part of a new parish complex that will include a new school and a new rectory. The school is scheduled to be dedicated in June, 2001. St. Martin of Tours Parish has 2,600 parishioners. The old church held a capacity of 175 people. It will be maintained and used primarily as a wedding chapel. Everyone is invited to attend the mass of dedication.
