The Office for Youth and Young Adults of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is sponsoring Jr Fest 2004, a fun, faith-filled gathering for junior high school students on

More than 200 junior high school students from at least 20 parishes will attend this event designed to expose students to the larger church community. Senior high school students will run the activities for the day which will include an opening ceremony, games, service project, celebration of Christian music and liturgy.

Father Martin Cioppi, Deputy Secretary for Catechetical Formation for the Archdiocese, will be the main celebrant and Father Paul Dressler, O.F.M.Cap., Special Events Coordinator for Young Adults Ministry, will be homilist at the 4:45 PM JrFest Mass.

The schedule for the day is:

11:00 am Tail Gate (students will eat lunch they brought)
11:30 am Registration
11:45 am Ice Breakers
12:20 pm Opening Ceremony by student leadership
Keynote address by JP Kasperowicz, Youth Minister at St. Ignatus of Antioch, Yardley, PA
1:30 pm Special Events: personal challenge, team challenge and service station
3:00 pm Music Station
345 pm Personal challenge, team challenge and service station
4:45 pm Mass
5:45 pm Closing Ceremony
