Business leaders from around the greater Philadelphia region will attend a fund-raising gala to support Catholic education. Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) is committed to the ideal that all parents who wish to provide their children with a value-based, Catholic education should be able to do so. The organization relies upon the support of Catholic and Non-Catholic business leaders, foundations and individuals to financially assist families in need regardless of race, religion, color, creed, national or ethnic origin.

Entertainment will be provided by the Elementary and Secondary All-Catholic Jazz Bands, the Bishop McDevitt High School Step Dancers (Montgomery County) and St. Aloysius School, Pottstown Voices of Hope. A theater presentation will be made by Cardinal O'Hara High School (Delaware County) doing excerpts from their latest production, GODSPELL.
The invocation will be delivered by Most Reverend Joseph P. McFadden, Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia. Ron Jaworski, former Philadelphia Eagle, will honor outgoing Chairman J. William Mills, III, (President of PNC Bank). Mr. Mills will be celebrated for his efforts on behalf of BLOCS over the past three years. Mr. Mills' successor, Gerry Lenfest, will be welcomed as the new Chairman of BLOCS. BLOCS will also pay tribute to another former Chairman, G. Fred DiBona, Jr. (President and CEO of Independence Blue Cross) who passed away in January after a battle with cancer.
