Saint Cyprian Parish of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will celebrate its fifth anniversary with a Mass of Thanksgiving. The principal celebrant and homilist will be Most Reverend Martin D. Holley, Auxiliary Bishop, Archdiocese of Washington, D.C. Bishop Holley is one of the African American Catholic Bishops.

Founded on July 1, 2000, Saint Cyprian Parish was formed from a consolidation of Saint Carthage and Transfiguration Parishes. Under the leadership of the Pastor, Reverend Monsignor Federico Britto, the parish is one of the largest communities of African American Catholics in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Saint Cyprian Parish also serves as the home of many African Catholics who celebrate Mass in their native languages.
