Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia, will be the main celebrant and homilist for the annual Mass for Persons with Disabilities. This year's theme is that of the Archdiocesan Bicentennial Celebration: Serving the People of God in the Beginning, Now and Always. The Mass is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Department of Pastoral Care for Persons with Disabilities, which together with parishes and affiliated church organizations, is committed in the effort to raise awareness and create access for people with all abilities to the life of the Church.

The One Voice Choirwill provide the liturgical music at the Mass. In addition, Archdiocesan Programs for people with disabilities will be highlighted through the dramatic presentation of the Acting Without Boundaries Troupe. Volunteers from area Catholic youth programs and high schools will assist in accommodating individuals with different abilities at the Mass.

Everyone is welcome to attend and participation is encouraged among individuals with disabilities, their families, friends, neighbors and caregivers. A reception will be held immediately following Mass in the Archdiocesan Office Center at 222 North 17th Street. The Nevilaires Choir and accordion player, Mr. Kevin Gavin, will provide the musical entertainment for the reception.
