CATHOLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS STAR IN CONCERT AT KIMMEL CENTER
CONCERT TO CELEBRATE BICETENNIAL

More than 350 elementary and secondary students from Catholic schools throughout the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will perform at the Bicentennial Concert in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center. This select group of students auditioned and were chosen to represent their school and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for this Bicentennial Concert. The Archdiocese is in the midst of a yearlong Bicentennial celebration.

Renowned soprano Kiera Duffy, an alumna of Bishop Shanahan High School, Chester County, will join students in the Bicentennial Orchestra and Chorus as a featured soloist. Other solo performances from current Catholic school students include:
· Christopher Roberts, a student from Roman Catholic High School for Boys, will sing the National Anthem.
· Elena Lukens, a student from Bishop Shanahan High School, Chester County, is the soloist for the Haydn Piano Concerto.
· Justin Ciazzo, a student from Archbishop John Carroll High School, Martha Wasser, a student from Archbishop John Carroll High School and Gabriella Davidheiser, a student from St. Aloysius School in Pottstown, are soloists in Aaron Copland's Old American Songs.


Students will gather for a final full rehearsal on:

1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
