On Friday, October 3, 2008, Immaculate Heart of Mary School, 815 Cathedral Road, Philadelphia, PA 19128, will hold a Peace Rally after our First Friday Mass at approximately 10:00 a.m. in front of our school building. We will hold this rally to extend our support to the Philadelphia Police Department and to offer our messages of Peace for our city. Each student, teacher, and staff member will be placing a Peace flag, which they designed onto our front lawn of the school. This will be a visible witness to our prayers for Peace in the world. Families are encouraged to come and participate with us. They are also being invited to make donations to the two funds for our most recently fallen heroes, Officer Nazario and Officer Mc Donald. Since many of our school families serve in the Police Department, our school community wanted to give something back to them for all that they do in our name. Our local Police District, the 5th, will be specially invited to attend, too.
