CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION TO DRAW OVER 1,000

First Communicants to Join Cardinal in Outdoor Procession

Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia, will be the celebrant and homilist at a Mass for the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. Cardinal Rigali invited those children, from three Vicariates in the Archdiocese, who received their First Communion this year to join him in the Eucharistic Procession at the end of Mass.

Approximately 1,200 faithful will attend the Mass, which will include over 350 First Communicants from Delaware, Chester and Philadelphia South Vicariates. The children have been requested to dress in their First Communion clothes - girls in white dresses and veils and boys in suits. Each child will receive a scapular blessed by the Cardinal to remember this special day.

The Procession will take place at the end of Mass. For those unable to attend, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will offer live streaming video of the Mass and Procession at https://www.archdiocese-phl.org.
