AT ARCHDIOCESE MEN'S SPIRITUALITY CONFERENCE
Most Reverend Robert Maginnis, Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia, announces that Charles H. Ramsey, Commissioner of Police for the City of Philadelphia, has joined the lineup of speakers for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's 2nd annual Men's Spirituality Conference to be held March 13, 2010 at Archbishop Ryan High School.
Commissioner Ramsey will speak on the topic "Leadership, Faith and the Common Good." Ramsey was the 2009 recipient of the prestigious Keys & Sword Award presented by the Cathedral Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul Parish, which acknowledges one whose actions reflect the Gospel values of faith, selfless service, personal sacrifice, respect and valor.

The theme of the Men's Conference, which takes place during Lent 2010, is "Be Reconciled to the Lord." Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia, will celebrate the Closing Mass at 4:00 p.m.
Previously announced keynote speakers for the conference include Mike Piazza, a 12-time Major League All-Star catcher, who is a product of Saint Ann Parish, Phoenixville, Montgomery County; and Catholic evangelist Jesse Romeo, a former deputy sheriff of Los Angeles who is a radio and TV host. Piazza will speak on "The Impact of the Virgin Mary and the Mass in my Journey of Faith." Romero's topic will be "Thank God, I Am Forgiven." A portion of the Conference will be conducted in Spanish, with Romero as one of the headline speakers.
