Archdiocese of Philadelphia Celebrates Catholic Schools Week
On Wednesday, February 3 at 10:00 a.m., Most Reverend Joseph P. McFadden, Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia, will unveil a new Netbook program at Holy Innocents Area Catholic School as part of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's 2010 Catholic Schools Week celebration. Mary Rochford, Superintendent of Schools; Nancy Caramanico, Director of Technology K-12; and Sister Regina Mullen, I.H.M., Principal of Holy Innocents Area Catholic School, will take part in the ceremony.
The ceremony will commence with a prayer offered by Bishop McFadden, who will lead the seventh and eighth grade students in unwrapping their new netbooks. A few students will provide a brief demonstration on how the netbooks will be utilized in the classroom.

The netbooks, made possible through state funding, will be used by students daily as part of Holy Innocents' one-to-one computer initiative. The netbooks will be used across all subject areas including Math, Reading, English and Science.
