ARCHDIOCESAN SCHOOLS RAISE MONEY FOR
CATHOLIC CHARITIES APPEAL WITH NICKELS FOR NEIGHBORS

Student representatives from Archdiocesan high schools and parish elementary schools will present checks for the 2010 Catholic Charities Appeal during the Nickels for Neighbors annual event. Bishop Joseph P. McFadden will thank the students for their efforts and talk to them about the importance of the Catholic Charities Appeal.

11:00 a.m.
Thursday, April 29, 2010
Archbishop John Carroll High School
211 Matson Ford Road
Radnor (Delaware County)

During the event at Archbishop Carroll students from each represented school will present a check in the total dollar amount their school has raised for the annual appeal. Group photographs will be taken after the check presentation.

Founded in 1958 by John Cardinal O'Hara, the Catholic Charities Appeal funds over 80 Archdiocesan agencies throughout the five counties of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and has raised an average of $8.5 million annually since 1995. Last year, Nickels for Neighbors raised $65,600. The services that the Archdiocese provides reflect a belief in the sanctity of human life, the dignity of the individual, and the central role of the family in life and society.
