31st Annual Archdiocesan Academic Honors Convocation
Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia, will celebrate a special Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul to honor Archdiocesan and private Catholic high school seniors for their academic excellence, on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 6:30 p.m.
The students, who are ranked in the top 2% of the graduating senior class, will be honored for their academic prowess and dedication to their schoolwork. This year 117 students are included in this elite group according to the cumulative rank at the end of the first semester of their senior year.
As they prepare to move on to the next journey in life, undoubtedly their individual traits of determination and fortitude will carry them to achieve great things. These students exemplify how Archdiocesan students receive the gift of not only an outstanding academic curriculum but also a strong moral foundation rooted in the teachings and principles of Jesus Christ.
