St. Monica Parish School in Berwyn, Chester County, is hosting a blood drive in honor of first grade student Jack Barausky on Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Jack was diagnosed with leukemia in November 2009. Since his diagnosis almost a year ago, Jack has had multiple treatments and hospitalizations, including blood transfusions which are a vital part of Jack's treatments. The goal is to collect 60 units of blood for the American Red Cross.
The children of St. Monica Parish School are baking and donating cookies to give to all of those who donate blood - a treat for being sweet! Media coverage is welcome.
***3:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. The Barausky family will be in attendance***
