Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia, will lead an Interfaith Prayer Service in remembrance of the life of Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. This is the 28th anniversary of this service sponsored by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. All are welcome to attend.

On Monday, January 17, 2011 the Office for Black Catholics, in collaboration with Archdiocesan High Schools and the Community Service Corps, is sponsoring a Day of Community Service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Young people will begin their day with prayer led by Monsignor Kevin Lawrence, Vicar for Philadelphia-South and Pastor of Saint Malachy Church.

At the conclusion of the prayer service students will proceed to service sites across the Archdiocese, including: Women of Hope, Saint John' Hospice and various Church and institutions.
