RECTORY BUILDING TO NEW LOCATION
Saint Joseph Parish in Downingtown, Chester County, is moving its rectory down the street to make room for a new church. The rectory is currently sitting on wheels as it waits to be transported to its new location at
334 Manor Avenue. Groundbreaking for the new church is expected in Spring 2012.
The move will take place:
Beginning at 10:00 a.m.
460 Manor Avenue
Downingtown, PA 19335
Preparations to move the rectory began on July 11th with the excavation of the foundation and by equipping the large 1940 stone building for transfer. Movers will transfer the rectory across the church's lawn to the other side of Saint Joseph's Convent to its new location. Saint Joseph Parish was founded in 1851.
