NUTRIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERVICES RECIEVES DONATION
FOR ARCHDIOCESAN CUPBOARDS

Online grocer supports local food cupboards in their fight against hunger

Three food cupboards from Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will receive food donations from Peapod, an online grocery retailer.

Students from Holy Cross School, in Philadelphia's Mount Airy section, and Country Day School of the Sacred Heart, Bryn Mawr, will be on hand to help unload the truck into waiting vehicles from local food pantries including Theresa Maxis Center (Southwest Philadelphia), Cardinal Bevilacqua Community Center (North Philadelphia) and Incarnation of Our Lord Parish (North Philadelphia).

This event is the kick off for a project involving approximately 20 schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia conducting lessons in hunger and nutritional education.
