Auxiliary Bishop Timothy C. Senior, will celebrate the annual Bless the Baby Jesus Devotion and Fourth Sunday of Advent Mass. All are invited to bring figurines of Baby Jesus from their Nativity Crèche to be blessed.

Since 1968 children have gathered by the thousands in Saint Peter's Square in Rome every Fourth Sunday of Advent to receive a blessing from the Pope for their statuettes of baby Jesus. Over the past several years, this tradition has become one of the highlights of Christmas season among children and young families of the Archdiocese.

The Bless the Baby Jesus Devotion is sponsored by the Family Life Office and Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Collection bins will be available at the Cathedral for donations of diapers and infant formula for mothers and families served by Catholic Social Services.
